Pamasa and Vokasia Hold Workshop on Journal Management Towards National Accreditation

Pamasa: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat and Jurnal Vokasia successfully held a workshop themed "Journal Management Towards National Accreditation." The event took place at the Bambang Lelono Hall, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed), featuring Yoris Adita Maretta, M.Pd., from the Indonesian Journal Volunteer as the main speaker.

The workshop was opened with remarks from the Dean of FIB, Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, S.S., M.Hum., who emphasized the importance of journal accreditation in improving the quality of scientific publications within the campus. “We need to prepare our journals well to meet national standards and contribute to the broader development of knowledge,” she said.

Also present at the event were Vice Dean I, Dr. Chusni Hadiati, S.S., M.Hum., Editor in Chief of Pamasa, Usep Muttaqin, S.Hum., M.A., and Editor in Chief of Vokasia, Lely Tri Wijayanti, S.S., M.A.

The workshop was divided into three main sessions. The first session featured a presentation by Yoris Adita Maretta, M.Pd., who provided in-depth insights on strategic steps to achieve national accreditation. All journal managers within FIB Unsoed attended and actively participated in this session.

In the second session, the focus shifted to reviewing the Vokasia journal. A thorough discussion was conducted to identify the strengths and areas that need improvement for Vokasia to meet the accreditation criteria set by the government.

The third session continued with a review of Pamasa: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat. This discussion aimed to provide practical solutions and concrete steps to improve the quality of the journal, making it ready for the accreditation process.

Editor in Chief of Pamasa, Usep Muttaqin, S.Hum., M.A., expressed his hope that this workshop could be a significant first step in improving the quality of journals at FIB Unsoed. “We hope that through this activity, the journals within FIB will be better prepared and capable of achieving national accreditation,” he said.
